TRUMPF SISMA opens a new plant in Schio - SISMA

On September 23, TRUMPF SISMA opened its new plant in Schio, in northern Italy. The joint venture company develops and builds innovative 3D metal printers. The recently launched SISMA MYSINT100 is an example of TRUMPF SISMA products based on Laser Metal Fusion technology. Another larger machine is currently being developed and will be presented at Formnext in November, 2016. With its 1800 square meters, the new plant in Schio, not far from Vicenza and around 100 kilometers west of Venice, offers optimal conditions for the accomplishment of these goals. This space is used for research and development, laboratories and production. TRUMPF SISMA has 30 employees in Schio. “Today we are celebrating an important step for the TRUMPF SISMA Joint Venture as a company in its own right with every possibility for future growth,” said the SISMA TRUMPF Managing Director René Kreissl at the opening of the plant. Among the guests he received were the Mayor of Schio Valter Orsi, SISMA President Gr. Uff. Fiorenzo Sbabo, the Ditzingen TRUMPF Vice-Chairman of the Managing Board Peter Leibinger and TRUMPF TLD Managing Director Klaus Parey.
